Dr. Nava Nourani, is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of North Valley Psychology. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and completed her undergraduate and graduate training in clinical and forensic psychology in Arizona.
Dr. Nourani has extensive experience providing psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to children, adolescents and adults across a range of settings. These include private practice, community mental health centers, and forensic contexts. Her clinical work includes psychoeducational and psychological testing, individual and family therapy, parent consultation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Nourani has training and experience in forensic psychology, including work at the intersection of mental health, legal systems and child and family functioning.
Dr. Nourani utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to each clients needs, including: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy(TF-CBT), family systems work, and existential approaches. She is committed to providing structured, compassionate, and developmentally informed care for children, adolescents, and families facing complex emotional and behavioral challenges.
